Tata Altroz 2025: Tata Motors has launched the 2025 Altroz facelift in India at an introductory price of ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks the first major update to the premium hatchback since its debut in 2020. Bookings will begin on June 2, 2025. The facelifted Altroz will compete with rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
Tata Altroz 2025: Updated Exterior and Design
The refreshed Altroz sports a revised front fascia with a bold 8-lamp LED setup, inspired by Tata’s 2018 45X concept. A new 3D front grille, split LED headlamps with DRLs, and flush door handles (on front doors) enhance the vehicle’s aesthetics and aerodynamics. Tata has retained the car’s unique 90-degree door opening capability for better ingress and egress. At the rear, the hatchback features Infinity-connected LED tail lamps, a redesigned bumper, and new alloy wheels influenced by EV styling.
Tata Altroz 2025: Interior Enhancements
Inside, the Altroz facelift introduces a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Features such as ventilated front seats, an updated climate control interface, and 65W fast charging ports at both front and rear enhance comfort and practicality.
Tata claims to offer best-in-class Executive Lounge rear seats, providing 533mm thigh support, which is 8% better than competitors. The Altroz also boasts impressive headroom (990mm front, 957mm rear) and hip room (1318mm front, 1281mm rear). Boot capacity is 345 litres, reduced to 210 litres in the CNG variant.
Tata Altroz 2025: Powertrains and Transmission
The 2025 Altroz retains its versatile powertrain options:
- 1.2L NA petrol (88bhp, 115Nm)
- 1.2L turbo-petrol (118bhp, 170Nm) – Racer edition
- 1.5L diesel (89bhp, 200Nm)
- 1.2L CNG with twin-cylinder tech
Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, and 6-speed DCA. Tata claims the Altroz is the only car in its segment to offer all three types of transmissions.
Tata Altroz 2025: Tech and Safety Features
The updated Tata Altroz introduces a host of new features aimed at improving comfort, convenience, and in-car technology. Key additions include a 360-degree HD camera system, blind view monitor, and a voice-assisted electric sunroof.
It also features an in-built air purifier, ambient lighting, and an express cool function for rapid cabin cooling. Enhancing connectivity, the Altroz is equipped with Tata’s iRA connected car suite, offering over 50 smart features.
It also supports four voice assistants, enabling easier control through voice commands, making the overall driving experience more seamless, safe, and tech-friendly for users.
Safety remains strong with six airbags, ESP, ISOFIX mounts, emergency SOS, and a maintained 5-star Global NCAP rating across variants.
Tata Altroz 2025: Variants and Colours
The Altroz facelift is offered in five trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S, and comes in five colours: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Royal Blue, and Pristine White.
