Alcatel V3 5G Series: Alcatel has officially introduced its new Alcate V3 5G smartphone series in India, signaling a fresh push into the budget and mid-range 5G segment. The lineup includes three distinct models: the V3 Classic, V3 Pro, and V3 Ultra. Each brings something different to the table, but what really stands out is that both the Pro and Ultra variants come with TCL’s own NXTPAPER display technology. It’s designed to be gentler on the eyes, which, honestly, is a nice touch given how much screen time we all rack up.
Pricing and Availability in India
Let’s talk numbers. The Alcatel V3 Classic 5G starts at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version. There’s also a 6GB + 128GB option at Rs. 14,999. Moving up a notch, the V3 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 17,999 for its sole 8GB + 256GB configuration. And for those wanting the top-tier experience, the V3 Ultra 5G will cost you Rs. 19,999 for 6GB + 128GB and Rs. 21,999 for 8GB + 128GB.
All three models will be up for grabs exclusively on Flipkart starting June 2.
Colour Options
Each model comes in its own set of shades:
- V3 Classic 5G: Cosmic Grey, Halo White
- V3 Pro 5G: Matcha Green, Metallic Grey
- V3 Ultra 5G: Champagne Gold, Hyper Blue, Ocean Grey
Display and Design
Starting with the basics, the V3 Classic 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ display (720×1600 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate—which is always welcome for smoother scrolling. The Pro model sticks to the same size but swaps in an NXTPAPER HD+ panel. The Ultra goes a step further with a slightly larger 6.78-inch full-HD+ NXTPAPER screen (1080×2640 pixels), still at 120Hz.
All three phones sport 2.5D curved displays, but the Pro also gets a matte finish with anti-glare glass. NXTPAPER screens are tuned for comfort, offering different modes like Regular, Ink Paper, Max Ink, and Colour Paper. Plus, they’re built to reduce blue light and cut down glare—something that’s pretty useful if you’re glued to your phone for hours.
Performance, RAM, and Storage
At the heart of each V3 5G model is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, an octa-core processor aimed at delivering reliable 5G performance.
Here’s how the memory and storage stack up:
- V3 Classic 5G: 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage
- V3 Pro 5G: 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB storage
- V3 Ultra 5G: 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage
All three come running the latest Android 15 right out of the box.
Camera Setup
Photography-wise, there’s a clear distinction across the range.
- V3 Classic 5G: Dual rear cameras—50MP main sensor and a 0.08MP QVGA sensor. Selfies? An 8MP front camera handles that.
- V3 Pro 5G: Same 50MP main and 8MP front cameras, but it adds a 5MP ultra-wide lens on the back for broader shots.
- V3 Ultra 5G: A solid upgrade with a triple rear camera system: 108MP main, 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens. And up front, you get a pretty sharp 32MP selfie camera.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is another area where the lineup differentiates itself:
- V3 Classic 5G: 5,200mAh battery with 10W charging
- V3 Pro 5G: 5,010mAh battery, now with 18W fast charging
- V3 Ultra 5G: Also 5,010mAh but with much faster 33W charging
All models come bundled with a charger and a protective case. Oh, and if you’re eyeing the Ultra, it even supports stylus input—and yes, the stylus is included.
So, with the V3 Classic, Pro, and Ultra, Alcatel seems to have covered quite a bit of ground. Whether you’re just stepping into the 5G world or you’re a display enthusiast looking for something easier on the eyes, there’s a model here that probably ticks most of your boxes. Add in the NXTPAPER display, a solid MediaTek chipset, decent camera specs, and varied battery support, and the V3 series starts to look like a strong contender in India’s 2025 smartphone market.
